Volunteer Role: Community Manager

Our Community Manager role is a perfect opportunity to gain experience and make connections in one of the most exciting sectors within Canada's innovation economy
Ask AI is a registered nonprofit dedicated to supporting Canada's World-class artificial intelligence sector for an audience of startups, students, working professionals, and policy-makers. We produce a popular podcast, free events, and a helpful chatbot.
Our Advisory Board includes representatives from some of Canada's top AI organizations and startups including the Vector Institute, Mila, AMII, AInBC, and Global AI.
We're currently seeking a volunteer Community Manager to drive subscriber engagement and boost our social media presence. We'll also be experimenting with "Live Podcast" shows where our community will be invited to ask questions directly to expert guests, and the Community Manager will be pivotal in helping to make these events a success.
The Ask AI Community Mabnager is flexible role and volunteers set their own schedules in support of the following activities:
Designing social post graphics, GIFs, and audiograms (via Canva)
Posting content to Twitter, LinkedIn (page, articles, and groups) and our chatbot
Engaging followers and influencers via Twitter and LinkedIn
Contributing ideas for our monthly email newsletter
Publishing text and/or video content to our blog
Our news roundups, podcasts, and videos provide a steady stream of shareable content. We also provide access to tools including Wix, Canva, Riverside FM, Ada (chatbot), and Buffer.
4+ hours per month (self-managed)
6 month term (option to renew)
Ideal start date: ASAP
Experience with a leading AI nonprofit
